| Principal Duties: | Instruct individuals on proper motor vehicle Class 1 driving.
Instruct individuals on proper motor vehicle driving skills and traffic regulations; demonstrate and explain the handling and mechanical operation of motor vehicles; and supervise individuals during on-the-road training. Training will also include teaching new employees about Reimer Express's policies and procedures. Conduct road test evaluations and evaluate the driving ability of applicants for driver's licenses. Conduct classroom and In-cab instruction. Working conditions: Classroom & In-cab with exposure to inclement weather. Variable hours and schedule. Travel is a requirement. |
| Minimum Requirements: | Completion of secondary school.
Class 1 License. Three (3) years full time over the road experience. Expertise in truck driving instruction must be demonstrated. Driving instructors must obtain special licensing as a driving instructor in the province of employment (willing to train suitable applicant). Must have exceptional verbal & written communication skills. Computer skills are required. Teaching and presentation skills are required. Willing to conduct over the road training with applicants of both genders and applicants from diverse backgrounds. |
